1. Client-Side Photo Processing
Your photos never leave your device. Unlike traditional online photo editing tools that upload your images to cloud servers, PhotoBoothCam operates entirely within your web browser. All image capture, filter application, layout rendering, and file exporting happen strictly on your local machine using standard web APIs. We have absolutely zero access to your photos.
2. Camera Permissions
To function, PhotoBoothCam requires access to your webcam. This access is granted temporarily by you through your browser's native permission prompts. We do not (and technically cannot) record video or audio in the background. The camera feed is only active when you are in the "Capture" step and is immediately terminated when you leave the app or close your browser tab.
3. Local Storage Data
We utilize your browser's secure `localStorage` and `IndexedDB` to save your photo booth session temporarily. This ensures that if you accidentally refresh the page, you won't lose your photos or custom settings. This data is stored strictly on your hard drive, not ours. You can delete this data at any time by clicking the "Clear All Photos" button within the app, or by clearing your browser cache.
4. Minimal Analytics
We collect basic, anonymized analytics (such as page views and template popularity) to help us improve the application. This non-identifying data helps us understand which features are most useful. Because we do not require accounts or logins, we have no mechanism to link any usage data back to you personally.
